KITCHEN WITH ISLAND WITH STONE WORKTOP IN A MULTIFUNCTIONAL SPACE – 201608

Elegance and functionality for this angular composition that combines design and home life.

In London, Emma Bice creates for her family a home where design solutions combine with domestic intimacy. The designer rethought a semi-detached house with a typically English style with a modern and refined approach; a space dedicated to a dynamic, committed, active family who loves open air and who shares the various activities of home life. The kitchen space opens to the living room and to the sleeping area, integrates with the outside, combines convivial space with the preparation of food and with work; A multifunctional space, main center of home life, where everything is close at hand.

The kitchen project, designed on D90 and K6 concepts, combines elegance, sobriety and functionality; the composition is angular with a central island matched with a lateral snack area: all the worktops, the snack plan and the splashbacks are made of natural stone whereas the columns on the wall are in Materic Dark Oak; the bases combine lacquered grey fronts and doors finish with an anthracite melamine structure.

On the island there is a five-burner stove and the base houses a series of drawer units; the columns integrate electric and microwave ovens, as well as a refrigerator. The stainless steel washbasin is housed in a base where the dishwasher is placed; here, the back of the worktop extends at full height integrating a LED lighting system.

Design by Emma Bice for Lauren Nicholas.
